About the Project
KAS is dedicated to helping more dogs stay in their homes and out of shelters. With your support, we provide training and assistance at little or no cost to families who need it most for their dogs. If a dog can't remain in its current home, we offer an exclusive rescue program focused on quality over quantity, meaning we only take on a limited number of dogs at a time. Our Career Pathway Dogs are carefully selected to attend boarding school at KAS, giving them the incredible opportunity to participate in the equivalent of a doggy Job Corps.

Every $5 donated equals one raffle ticket to win a free dog training package for you, your family, and your own dogs.

The next raffle draw is July 1st, 2025.

Every dollar counts and helps us help dogs that would otherwise end up in a loud, overcrowded shelter, developing unwanted behaviors and mentally and sometimes even physically deteriorating. At the same time, they wait for a family or get euthanized.

From KAS and every dog, we help; thank you!
For dogs work is life.
It feels good to have purpose.
Career Pathway Dogs
Is a KAS Career Pathway Dog Right for You?
If you are a little hesitant about getting a dog from a shelter because you don't know what you are getting, we can eliminate that problem. By adopting a dog who has spent a minimum of 3 months in training and comes with a lifetime of support from KAS, you can rest assured that you're making a secure and caring choice.

At KAS, we are dedicated to making perfect matches. Our dogs, while they may cost more upfront, are not just pets-they are part of our family. They have been living, learning, and working with us, and we will settle for nothing but the best matches. This dedication should give you confidence and reassurance in your decision to adopt.

We encourage you to meet the dog you are interested in early and visit often. If the dog is not ready to go home with you, adoption applicants often influence the career path. We will start implementing lessons into their day that align with your goals. This means you will play a crucial role in shaping the dog's future, and we will be there to guide you every step of the way.
